No time for a phone call? You can now get in touch with the Money Advice Service using Whatsapp. The service is totally free, unbiased and confidential; if you connect to WiFi you won’t even need to use your data.
Our Whatsapp service offers UK residents guidance on debt, pensions and borrowing – and if you have questions about other money topics we’ll be able to direct you to the right place.
The Whatsapp application is free to download, and once registered you can use it on your phone or through your browser.
To get in touch with the Money Advice Service through Whatsapp all you need to do is send us a message by clicking here.
If you message us during our opening hours, we’ll be able to respond to you straight away. Don’t worry if you can’t get back to us immediately, your chat history won’t disappear, and you can reply at a time that’s more convenient for you.
It’s easy to use Whatsapp to ask us questions when you’re on the go. You can also use Whatsapp to send screenshots or photos of letters or documents that could help us understand your situation more clearly. The information will be held in line with our data retention policy and we will never share any information you give us without your consent.
We promise not to send any unsolicited messages, it’s up to you to contact us when you’re looking for help.
We’re on hand to reply to messages between 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 3 pm on Saturday. If you get in touch outside of our opening hours, we still receive your messages and you should get a response when we are open.
